David Beaman has worked as an engineer at SpaceX for over 15 years. As a Senior Propulsion Engineer, his career centers around fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis for SpaceX vehicles and customer payloads. He has worked on the propulsion systems of Falcon 1, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and Dragon ensuring propellant tanks and components optimally perform during flights. He has also worked numerous payload thermal analyses to ensuring safe delivery of customer satellites into orbit.
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, David earned a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics from Lipscomb University in Nashville prior to obtaining an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA. While in Los Angeles, David and his wife, Laura, attended Grace Community Church for four years before moving back to Knoxville in 2014. Still working remotely with SpaceX and joyfully serving at Grace Community Church, Maryville, David enjoys time with his wife and 3 young children, working with his highland cows on his farm, listening to music, and reading.
